
I decided to start a pushup challenge to try and improve my overall physical strength. The program claims to get you to 100 pushups in 7 weeks. BS. I did the fitness test already and it placed me in week 3. I completed week 3 fairly well and decided to move on to week 4. My first try at day 1 of week 4 was not a great success so I am going to start back on it. I am going to record the results of my attempts to hep me keep track of them/why the heck not?
Week 4 Day 1 (2nd try)
Set 1: 18/18
Set 2: 22/22
Set 3: 16/16
Set 4: 15/16 (Did 2 more within 5 seconds of collapse.)
Set 5: (embarrassment) 15/25 1st try ( 60 sec. rest 6 more) (30 sec rest 3 more) (10 sec rest. 2 more). Ended with improvised pushups immediately after last collapse. Did all of 6 haha.
This was an improvement from last time (by 10ish pushups). Thinking I might repeat this day again but not sure yet.
(EDIT 1/27) So vaguely kept with it and brought my max to 40 consecutive pushups so some good gain. I would like to bring that up to 50 but now that I am back at school I am not sure if I will keep with it.
